based out of San Francisco, California. He specializes in working for editoral assignment but also accepts corporate photography assignments.
His interest in photography began as a high school student, when he started shooting for the school newspaper. Doug also enjoyed reporting, but soon found that his focus was photojournalism, feeling that it was the best way for him to explore the world around him, meeting new people and exploring different cultures and traditions.
Upon graduating from San Francisco State University with a BA in Journalism (emphasis on photojournalism) Doug spent time as a photo editor for New York Times Digital, Fortune.com and SF Gate before deciding to dedicate himself to being a photographer. Since his return, Doug has held positions at the San Francisco Business Times, as well as the Los Angeles Times Community Newspapers in Orange County. He has been a freelance photographer since April 2006.
